Franklin Together has multiple committees, task forces and work groups that function within the planning goals and objectives of the Coalition’s Strategic Plan. Below is a brief description of each of the groups:

 

The Great Barrier Relief Task Force (GBR) works to identify creative and innovative opportunities to assist people in their reentry into the community. The GBR also examines the barriers people face, and through an asset-based approach, combat the challenge. Work groups with specific focuses operate under the GBR Committee. They include: employment, housing, pro-social activities.

 The Outreach Task Force focuses on education, stigma reduction and increasing partnerships within the community. Specifically, the committee oversees planning of reentry simulations, community presentations, trainings, volunteer recruiting, information sharing, website and social media presence. Workgroups with specific focuses operate under the Outreach Task Force. They include: Re-Entry Summit planning, Re-Entry Simulation, and presentations.

 The Case Review Task Force works as a team to problem solve barriers and create systemic change. Reentry cases are reviewed monthly at the Franklin County Jail to identify how to best assist the individual in transition from incarceration back into the community.

 The Sustainability Committee is tasked with solidifying the Coalition as an anchor in our community. The group focuses on maintaining diverse funding sources, evaluation of programming and financial strategic planning.

  The Executive Committee is the steering and oversight committee for Franklin Together with the primary responsibility of overseeing strategic planning. Membership includes chairs, and representatives from the community, courts/reentry, employment, returning citizens, county government, corrections, and members of the faith-based community.
